K&P Luv2Cruise Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2009 We have just been assigned 8200 (8F) on Carnival Pride for our 05-10-09 sailing from Baltimore. Good or Bad ? Any info on room (set-up / location etc) ? Thanks, Kathryn :)
NCTribeFan Posted February 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Well, you can see the location by looking at the deck plans, yes? :p Obviously, close to the elevator/stairs there. And you may have windows overlooking the atrium when you exit your cabin. Don't worry about noise from the elevators (other than people who forget that when they leave the public areas they should use their "inside" voices). You're under the Lido deck, but the good news is you're under the dining area of the buffet, not under the pool area (which can be very noisy due to chair scaping). Note that you could hear the noise from the pool area when on your balcony (at least I consider it to be noise, including the universally-bad pool bands). :o I haven't sailed Pride but was on Miracle on Verandah Deck. It's a bit too high for me (thought there was a LOT of side-to-side movement). But a lot of people want to be as close to the buffet and pool as possible. That's not a priority for me, but your cabin is in a good, central location, although it's several flights up (I take the stairs) from the two other "activity" decks. Hope to sail her from B'more some day. Wish they'd add Bermuda itineraries!
