Civi is a very large working port...not geared for the tourist trade.

No HoHo bus. Take the train from Civitavecchia to Rome. For additional details, see the link to my train website in the sig line below.

There is very little to see in Civitavecchia, there are a few bars and cafes and 2 main shopping streets and that is it,nothing for a HOHO bus to see. There is a shuttle bus that takes you from the entrance to the port to your ship. As stated its a big working port and not one you can walk around.

If you're really bored with Civ, I can tell you where the laundromat is just 2 minutes walk from the port gates.:D

Take the autobus from Civitavecchia to Tarquinia. Inexpensive and only about 20 minutes away. Probably the best Etruscan ruins in all of Italy.
