minnymi Posted February 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2009 I'm thinking of booking this hotel for the day before my cruise. I won't have a car. I was just wondering how much is the taxi ride to POM. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I called the hotel and they said its between 20 and 30 bucks. (traffic, etc). If the Hyatt in CG is near the Westin I would guess its about the same cab fare. I booked my hotel via Priceline so got a good savings there:D Have a great cruise:)
graysladymurphy Posted February 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2009 I researched this because we are staying at the Hyatt Coral Gables in April before our cruise and it is about $30 including tip. Since it is so much, we decided to rent a car. I searched and searched and finally found a good deal with Avis. I'm still going to check prices until we leave. That way we can go exploring Key Biscayne in the morning before the cruise. Whatever you do, try to book this hotel on Priceline. I got a room on 4/9 for only $80. I've heard they are going for as low as $70. The rack rate is about $260.
bluefintuna Posted February 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2009 We stayed at the Hyatt, Coral Gables, last January and taxi to pom is about $25 plus tip. This is a safe area with a Publix market not far from the hotel for last minute items. If you rent a car I'm not sure if the Hyatt charges parking or not; best to call. We flew into fll and took Go Shuttle to the Hyatt.
