CeleBrat Posted February 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2009 If you want the Med, and are looking for informal, try the NCL Gem. Link to a review is in my signature below. Our kids were 5 and 7 at time of sailing. CeleBrat
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2009 Find a good travel agent you can visit face to face, and have a nice chat, get armloads of brochures. They will know the right questions to ask you to get the best fit. You don't necessarily have to book with them, but they should be able to match what you find online. Go to a bookstore and browse through one of the books on cruising, such as Berlitz complete Guide to Cruising and Cruise ships. There are others, but that is my favorite. They are updated every year. He has a bias toward the high end cruises, but he does profile all the lines and what to expect, and reviews each ship. EM
lamolesky Posted March 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2009 The NCL Gem does the Med and it is a great ship for kids. We brought our 18 month old and 4 year old on a Florida/Bahamas cruise on the Gem. NCL's Freestyle cruising is great for kids and so are the kids programs. You can eat whenever you want, that is a plus with young ones. Keep it in mind.
