6 ships in Cozumel???

On another board someone directed me to a website where you can find out how many cruise ships will be at a given port on a given day.

I checked my date (Wed, April 8th) and it looks like there will be 6 cruise ships in Cozumel on this date. We will be on RCCL Navigator.

I do know it is "spring break" and was keeping my fingers crossed for nothing too over crowded. We were planning on Paradise Beach. Heading out as early as possible (9:00am???) To get a good spot on the beach. There are 20 of us going ranging from kids to adults in late 40s.

How crowded will Cozumel be with 6 ships in port? What is the norm?

Thanks

We had 6 ships in port when we went a few weeks ago. The beach club we went to wasn't crowded at all, however, you could see one down the beach that looked extremely crowded...The traffic in town was pretty bad as well.

We were in Cozumel last March with 8 ships in port. I was really worried about getting a taxi - but there was no problem at all. We walked to the taxi area and were immediately in a taxi. We made it to Nachi Cocom in about 10-15 minutes, so the traffic wasn't really bad at all. At Nachi, there were probably 60 people there that day - with everyone spread out, it wasn't crowded at all.

We just came back yesterday. Had 4 ships in port. Was not that crowded. We went to Playa Uvas. It is small but DH said the snorkling was great. The people there are awesome. The food was good and the drinks were great and give marvelous massages there. If you are going during spring break Paradise beach will probably be very crowded. It is a very poplar place to begin with.

we had 6 large cruise ships and, at least, one small ship...never noticed a crowd. (except at the dock itself).

cozumel, with all it's shops and bars, spreads out.

nachi cocom limits the number of people, per day. the day we went we had about 40 people all day, but this resort is getting more well known and is getting closer to it's 100 limit (by the recent reviews).

don't worry about the 6 ships, cozumel is use to it.:D
