Best time for Dinner with Kids on RCCL????

We are sailing on Navigator in a few weeks. We have always had Late Seating for Dinner, but it looks like a lot of the activities for the kids ages 12 & 17 are around 8:00pm. Does this mean the kids have to choose between doing their activities and the Shows in the main theater??? We usually like late dinner because we dont like being rushed after ports, but we are only in port 2 days so not sure what to do. Anyone know if MTD can accomodate doing both dinner and kids activities and show???

Yep, it's like that for us too. The activites for the younger kids (mine are younger than yours) all start at 8pm. So it's either Main Seating or they miss their activities.

I thought the older kid activities had a tendency to start later though? Is that not the case?

Actually, their own Teen Dinner is at 8pm on one of those nights....

I know from experience the 9-11 age group and the young teen group (12 -14?) start activities at 8pm. On our last Freedom cruise both DD and our tablemate's daughter left the table during dessert of the main seating once or twice to ensure they were not late (we had slow waiters). We are using MTD this April to try and ensure my DD does not miss out on anything she wants to do (She is in the younger teen group this time). The teen group went to the main production show one night (that was in 2007 and could have changed). My DD did not see any of the shows on Freedom because she choose to attend AO activities.
