View of land from Ship?

Recommended Posts

We just booked the New England/Canadian cruise for Sept 19 on Jewel of the Seas. We have a port side balcony. Can anyone tell me if you can see land from the ship while sailing north.

Assuming when pointing North, the land will be to the left (port), then yes---if you're close enough, you may see it! Most likely, you'll be too far out to see much land!

Port means "left", starboard means "right"---it really has nothing to do with how a ship actually docks.
