rftsr Posted March 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2009 I've noticed Century does not have deck chairs on the Promenade Deck so one can't have a relaxing read with the ocean breezing by like other ships/cruiselines. Do you think they would move some down there is asked or is this something they do not allow? It's a shame as it forces one seek interior areas of refuge away from the noise and crowds. szdiver Posted March 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2009 I think I read on another posting that with the lifeboats on that deck, they had to take chairs off of that deck for safety.

brenderlou Posted March 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Yup, the other posters are correct. Someone did post about there being no chairs and asking a staff member. They were told they had to remove them for safety reasons in case of an evacuation of the boat. It is too bad because it is a lovely, wide deck with teak floors. I was wondering myself about the chairs when I was on the Century last week....
