My husband and I are on Millenium June 26-July3. We are in Icy Strait 7/1. I can't find whale watching trip w/availability. Have contacted FISHES, Glacier Wind. Anyone know another company to recommend? Thanks

Your best bet is to call Fishes and Glacier Wind and ask them if they know someone who is doing whale watching this year or someone with a six-pack license that might be willing to take you out. Hoonah is very small and everyone knows everyone else. There may be a new captain or two starting up a charter business with the increases in tourism to Hoonah. Or they may have a cousin, brother-in-law, etc. willing to take you out.

TECKK Outfitters is doing whale watching again. Many think that this is Keith's first year, but he has been doing fishing, whale watching and bear watches long before the cruise lines came to town. He is a life long resident of Hoonah. He has a new boat for this year and is geared up and ready to go. www.teckkoutfittersicystrait.com
