HAL's Chief Housekeeper Celebrates 20 Years

Tetet Prihatnoko recently celebrated 20 years at Holland America Line. Hotel Manager Mark Pells surprised Tetet with a festive dinner in his honor. Tetet is very much admired not only for his hard work but for his for his big smile and “can do” mantra. Tetet’s first position in housekeeping 20 years ago was an “ashtrayman” on the ss Rotterdam. He was responsible for cleaning all 150 ashtrays around the ship.

Over the years we got to know an area captain by the name of Bernnie -- a couple of years ago he celebrated 30 years on HAL.

HAL has a lot of dedicated personel.
