cancellation number, date, time, employee spoken to AND email of cancellation. They are not disputing that I cancelled on a particular date and time (we agree on that) but they say that the property requires 24 hours cancellation. I have faxed them my email confirmation of the reservation that states the policy as I quoted above but there has not been a credit issued yet.............

Sounds like you have the proof you need that you followed their cancellation policy. I'd call the cc company while you wait for the hotel to respond. Good luck!;)
