Money Exchange on a ship

Just wondering if i bring £ Sterling with me and exchange them on the ship Destiny do they give me USD$ dollars or Caribbean dollars $ in exchange

 

Also do they have Commission Free on Board :confused:

 

American Express Travelers Cheques is there a charge on Board for exchanging them also

You get a much better exchange rate getting your dollars here before you go.....Travellers cheques seem to be a bit 'old hat' nowadays ....we just get Dollars or Euros here before we go and if we run out use a Nationwide card (they only recently started charging for overseas use but it is still the lowest charge ...I think)....Post office usually have good exchange rates and dollars are readily available...We only take ashore what we think we will need and split it between us just in case !!
