Ketchikan and Skagway

I saw on the days we are in these ports there will be 3 ships in Ketchikan and 4 in Skagway. How crowded is this going to make these towns. Ketchikan in paticular looks really small. Will you be able to shop and eat in a restaurant or will you be fighting a crowd all day.

Ketchikan is way bigger than Skagway. IF you are only looking at staying "in town" in shops etc, then yes, It will be crowded in both cities.

Get out of town. There is so much to do and see to just stay in town.

The further you get from the docks the less crowded it is except at "must-sees" such as Creek Street at Ketchikan. And I suppose we all have different ideas of what "crowded" means - 6 cars in a row is a traffic jam to me! :D
