quiescentlyfrozen Posted March 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Hi all, I think I know the answer to this, but wanted opinions before pulling the trigger. (This will be my first cruise) I am currently booked for CC 7206 on Millie going northbound from Vancouver to Seward. Therefore on the "correct" side of the ship. However, today I saw ONE lonely FV available (omg, I've been hunting those for weeks, checking multiple times a day!). It's number 8181, which seems to be a corner... on the "wrong" side of the boat. I've put this on courtesy hold for the moment to talk to my fiance and get opinions here. Am I correct to assume that I am absolutely crazy if I don't take #8181? The diff per person is $161. Also, paranoia question... the system let me book this for 2 people. As in, it showed up online, I grabbed it in courtesy hold. Does that mean I'm "safe" now, or would there still be the chance I could get booked if a 5 person family comes along? Thanks to all! Trying not to get TOOOO excited incase you all tell me I'm crazy and the CC7206 is the way to go, or that I shouldn't do it 'cause I can still get booted. But OMG, I think I just lucked inot the ONLY FV available being a corner FV! Wheee! That'll be nice for my wedding cruise :-) Thanks!
Karynanne Posted March 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Take the FV 8181. The cabin space is great, and the closet space fantastic. If you can afford the extra...go for it! You won't be sorry.

sasset Posted March 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2009 I can't speak to 7206, but we have had 8181 and it is great. We (two of us) have booked corners, 7199, 7202 and 8181, as far out as six months and never been bumped. I don't know if itinerary plays a part in being bumped. Ours were two Hawaii round trips, one westbound transatlantic and one eastbound transatlantic. Regards
Shirley C Posted March 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2009 No doubt about it - go for the FV.
rundogrun Posted March 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Absolutely take the FV. We've stayed in an FV on the Millie before. You'll see everything you need to see off the back of the ship.
