Puffins

Hi, we are going on our first cruise on June 14 and I was wondering if there are any tours where I can see puffins, the ports we are stopping at are Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. When I was in Newfoundland last year we we took a tour to see the puffins and I enjoyed watching them.

Are you doing a round trip cruise or a one way? Great opportunities for puffin sightings on the Kenai Fjords trips out of Seward, of course, depending if you go there.

You only accessable inside passage area is an independent boat tour out of Sitka, that gets to St. Lazaria Island.

 

Even better with island access is out of Joneport, Me. Permits are required, you get into bird blinds with the puffins right outside you. Really a great close up experience.
