Senior Sea Dog Posted March 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2009 There are several cruise lots and parking with shuttles close to port. SSD
Splinter Posted March 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Plenty of other places to park that are a little further away, but cheaper, and will shuttle right to the terminal doorway (no need to even cross the street by yourself). http://www.sandiegocruiseport.com/san-diego-cruise-tips.html I use the Mission Brewery site all the time, and it is less than half the price of the lot you are referring to, and will take reservations: http://www.longtermparking.com/california.htm#SDA The last time they had 3 ships in at once one of the ships had to use the Convention Center as their check-in location. Are you sure that is not the case for you??

Taku Posted March 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2009 I second Mission Brewery parking. Thanks to Splinter's recommendation, we parked there for our February Oosterdam cruise and were extremely satisfied -- , good online directions, car was fine, shuttle drivers extremely helpful. Using the online coupon reduced our week's parking cost to $49.

Taku Posted March 25, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2009 I really don't recall if the shuttle was handicap accessible. However, my mother who was experiencing some mobility problems was able to get in. Maybe Splinter knows, or you might try calling or emailing Mission Brewery.
