DonnaKSMJ Posted November 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2004 We just got back yesterday from our cruise, we did go to coki beach...not coral world. We went all the way down to the left of the beach furthest from coral world, it was great.....bring dog biscuits...we brought a whole bag full and the fish were all over us eating out of our hands...right off the sand....you don't even have to snorkel, but we did. That was the highlight of all the beaches, my kids were loving it. If you look forward toward the water it is beautiful, look behind you on the sand, the beach has trash, old tires and other junk...that was disappointing....very run down! But worth it because of those gorgeous friendly fish!!!!
samscruiser Posted November 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2004 We take the little boxes of cereal from breakfast buffet's with us snorkling. All bran seems to hold together the best in the water. Fish love it, you get right in the middle of a feeding frenzy. Just make sure you bring you trash back to shore with you. naxos Posted December 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2004 Sorry to ruin the party folks, but feeding the fishis not really good for them.
Copper_beeches Posted December 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2004 You change their feeding habits, and disrupt their diet which can have a snowball effect on their digestion and in some case can be fatal (think fiber for a carnivore). You also teach them that a person = a handout, when it's also likely that a person will = a speargun... :(
