JRG Posted March 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2009 We are taking a cruise new week that stops at GC and we would like to know if anyone can recommend a nice resort on 7 mile beach that offers a day use fee. We have done the usual turtle farm/rum shop/trek to hell tour and last year did the public beach on 7 mile, but we didn't have access to any of the amenities. Is there a good resort that you know might be available for a day use fee and if so please recommend. any other ideas are welcome too. Thanks! kermiefrg Posted March 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2009 I would ask on the Ports of Call - Cayman board. I've gotten a lot of great information from there.
cb at sea Posted March 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2009 All of the beaches are public--unless you want to use a pool, there's no need to pay to use a beach at a resort! All of the public access points have chair/umbrella rentals, and watersport equipment for rent. There are bathrooms and eaterys everywhere. Why pay for a resort, when you don't have to? There are buses/cabs right at the dock and they will take you (and pick you up) wherever you want.
jackdiamond Posted March 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Governor's beach is nice; and, there are a plethora of shade trees. However, there are no chair rentals, or santitation facilities.
