wrldtrv Posted March 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2009 I'm interested in booking a Galapagos tour and came across a Galapagos cruise company offering a tour on the 'Santa Cruz' to the galapagos islands. Does anyone have any experience with this ship? Thanks in advance

Jade13 Posted May 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2009 I'm interested in booking a Galapagos tour and came across a Galapagos cruise company offering a tour on the 'Santa Cruz' to the galapagos islands. Does anyone have any experience with this ship? Thanks in advance Well, this was our number 1 favorite cruise and vacation of all time. We were booked in the Master Suite. Metropolitan Touring owns the ship and will give you great service. We found out about the Santa Cruz when we found our Tauck Tours uses that ship for their guests, although we booked on our own and directly through Equador. The food was not that great (breakfast very good) but we do not cruise for the food. We also enjoyed tea in the afternoon and tea bags and hot water are always available. Just a note that when we go back to the Galapagos we will not hestiate to use Metropolitan touring again. We have traveled on HAL, Celebrity, and with Abercrombie & Kent on Minerva (and a smaller ship in Australia) if that helps. They will book your intra-country flights as well and provide door to door service. You can see pictures of the ship right on their web site. They can go some places that apparently Celebrity can not go to.
