Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Newswire: Miami, FL. (03/26/09) Carnival Cruise Lines announced today the first in a series of new features being implemented as part of their Past Guest Recognition program. This one will target their “Milestones Rewards” members (those having 25+ sailings under the Carnival brand). Those individuals will now have a direct toll-free number to the “Concierge Desk” at Carnival. This new feature will allow booked guests access to a personal assistant that can take care of special requests including, but not limited to: Dining: Specific guaranteed table arrangement/requests. Special menu requests, so that they can be prepared ahead of time. Do you have a favorite waiter? You can now be seated in their section. A favorite table? No problem. A fresh rose each evening? Consider it done.…. “What’s that sound? DARN – the alarm clock.” {rubbing eyes}. “What a dream!” Back to reality - almost time to leave work, head home, and finish packing! LemurCat Posted March 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2009 You kook!:D I can't wait until I hit 25 cruises so I can pretend I'm Ronald Reagan calling Gorbachev on the Red Phone of Doom. And then order a BLT.
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 26, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted March 26, 2009 I can't wait until I hit 25 cruises so I can pretend I'm Ronald Reagan calling Gorbachev on the Red Phone of Doom. And then order a BLT. Ahhh... and PRIORITY ROOM SERVICE... with FULL MENU !! :D I just "love" coming back to the cabin at 1 or 2 AM only to be told that my BLT will take up to ONE HOUR! Tom
dsb9938 Posted March 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Seems to me they should be doing something for people with fewer cruises to increase sales. If you have 25, you definitely deserve perks, but you are most likely gonna keep on cruising. If you have 2 or 3, a little incentive to keep going would be nice. Of course if you have 2 or 3, your probably addicted already anyway!:D
TortieGal Posted March 26, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2009 On the Blogger's Cruise, if I remember correctly, John had mentioned that the person in charge of this had previously headed up the Starwood Resorts guest program and they were making this a priority. Not that I'm anywhere near close to taking advantage, it's good to know that they are making changes!
A&Jfamily Posted March 26, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Well, at my cruise rate of about 1 a year, I should benefit from this in 2030! Yipee! But of course, that is right around retirement for me...so maybe it will be worth the wait until that time I can cruise quarterly!:p
