Casino Question? How old?

:D

My son turns 18 on Feb 18, 2010 and wanted to celebrate his B-Day on board. However we want to do the Western itinerary which departs 2/20/10. He also would like to gamble a bit at the casino. When my oldest son turned 18, we celebrated at our local casino and had a ball. Now my youngest wants to do the same. However would be a whole lot more fun on a ship. Were looking at a group cruise and would love to enter him in the casino slot pull tournament they have scheduled.

Thanks for the info and Happy Cruising.:D

Don't forget, your son's age is as of the FIRST say of the cruise. So if he will turn 18 while on the ship he still won't be able to play. RCI punched 2 holes in the sign and sail cards of the minors in our party. Great Niece celebrated her sixteenth birthday on Freedom of the Seas but as far as RCI was concerned she was 15.

Too bad, had she been 16 before the cruise she would have been allowed to drive the Captain's car on the Lido Deck. :p

Is there something a 16 year old can do that a 15 year old can't?

From the FAQs pages: "Casino:

Guest must be 18 years of age or older to play the tables and the slot machines.

Guests under 18 years of age are not permitted in the casino."

All it took to find was entering "casino age" in the search box at www.Carnival.com

Thanks for all the great info. I always forget about using a search option for quick results.

I new the info was out there somewhere. I was just impatient.

I do love reading on the boards though.

Happy cruising to all.
