Iron special on the Star?

This question is for recent cruisers on the Star. Did the Star have an ironing special on the first day? If so, how much did it cost?

It was 1.00 per piece (November 2008)

March 2009 it was still $1.00 per piece on the first day only

Last week it was $1.00 per item on the 1st night. They were returned the next day.

It was still 1$ a piece last week but it was not mentioned anywhere. I asked the front desk and they informed me of it.

My related question would be what do they consider a Piece? for instance a pair of pants a full formal dress?? tiny blouse? etc. all the same $1.00 each? Does anyone know?

I believe all the ships do, but it wouldn't hurt to ask your room steward or the front desk...

I honestly don't remember it being offered on the Gem last month.

 

I suspect it wouldn't be something in very much demand on ships sailing from NY because the overwhelming majority of passengers haven't made very long trips to get to the port. Their clothes wouldn't have been packed for as long as passengers traveling to ships doing itineraries like Alaska, Hawaii, or Europe.

 

On the other hand it could have been offered and I may have just overlooked it since it wasn't something I needed. ;)
