Bringing wine on board

I know you are able to bring wine on board and pay the corkage, but is there a limit on how much wine you can bring on board? Can you pick up wine at the ports of call and pay the corkage or is it only at embarkation.

We are on the 19 day cruise to South America and would like to have wine with dinner most nights, I think we would get a better wine for the same money as a cheap wine on board.

Never heard of anyone restricted. If you call NCL they will probably give you a limit, which may have nothing to do with what really would happen onboard.

and, if you are planning to buy some along the way, you would be under the radar if they was a a limit. 3-4 bottles here, 3-4 there, etc.
