A Few Questions about the Jade

Hi Guys,

I'll be on the Jade in about 3 weeks. These things are not too important, but I am wondering... is there video/electronic roulette in the casino? Do they offer the Murder Mystery Dinner thing on the Jade? If so, any details? Last one... I am in an inside cabin but I'd really like a robe for the 14 days. If I ask my room steward, can he/she bring me one? Should I tip them for this? I don't want to look like a fool.

Thanks a bunch!

We did the Murder Mystery Dinner on the Jade in December - did the exact same one on the Carnival Freedom a couple of weeks ago (except it was in a showroom, not dinner).

Anyway the story line is about a Hawaiian private eye that was murdered.....don't want to give away too much.

I read somewhere that up to 100 people can participate in this and that you sign up on embarkation day. Is that true? All the ones I've ever done (at home) are for 8 people max. Do the rest just watch? Is there a fee? When can you sign up?

Thanks so much for your help.

We didn't look for the MMD on the Jade this time, but usually the signups are during the first two days for the dinner later in the week. They take place in one of the main dining rooms, usually early (like 5!). When you meet before the dinner, you are separated into groups of 6-10 (depends on the mystery). You are assigned an identity and seated with your group. Each table does the mystery over dinner (same mystery, several groups). You basically follow the "script" that you are given and then figure out whodunnit. Can be extremely boring or a lot of fun - it's all what you and your group make of it.

Oh, I would be in heaven if they offered this on our 5 night cruise next month.
