Santiago Hotel

We are staying one night, pre-cruise, at the Santiago Sheraton (booked through HAL) on Jan. 4th. Has anyone stayed here and are there any comments to share about it? Room? Restaurants? Sites in walking distance?

We just stayed there in Oct. and it is very nice. It is not within walking distance of much and it had several nice restaurants.

 

We hired a taxi for the day and went out to the wine country for lunch and a tour.

I did not stay there but friends of ours who did were very unhappy with the cramped quarters. Perhaps they drw the short straw in the room allocation I don't know.
