Florida Lady Posted December 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2004 If you have sailed on the Prinsendam can you answer the following question: Do Cat E staterooms have Terry Cloth Bathrobes. Need to know if we should pack our own.
Aussie Gal Posted December 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2004 We were in an SS and we had lovely robes. I think but cannot be certain that all the cabins on the Prinsendam are now issued with robes. Jennie
Brandis Posted December 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2004 In the cat. S suite, we got bathrobes, which had a terry cloth lining and waffle cloth on the outside, they were very soft and nice. In the gym, the provided bathrobes which didn't have terry cloth inside and didn't feel as nice. Not sure, if they have these in the regular cabins. trubey Posted December 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Catelgory C had bathrobes--that's the highest group of outside cabins which do not have verandahs. You can probably assume that yours will have them, too. The robes themselves were nothing special, but it is nice to have one without having to bring your own. Maybe they do different robes for different classes. susan.
Aussie Gal Posted December 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Ours in the S.S. sound the same as the ones in the S. suites. As I mentioned they were lovely to wear and I very rarely wear a bathrobe but these were extra nice. Jennie

I hope that we did not make a mistake in booking this cat. My main reason was to be dead center of the ship as I am concerned about getting sea sick on this smaller ship. I am used to the Voyager class ships. We booked this as it is only ship that I know that does the Amazon R/T from Florida.
Brandis Posted December 7, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2004 We only booked the Cat. S suite on the transatlantic as the price was unbelievable. For our upcoming Ireland & Iceland cruise on Prinsendam next summer, we don't even get an Inside for that price. And believe me, I would have loved to stay in a suite again. Cruiseoften Posted December 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2004 Re Prinsendam bathrobes - friends just returned. They were in a Lower Prom. cabin,Category C I think. They had cotton waffle-weave bathrobes lined with soft, fluffy terry cloth. They also had a mini-bar and fridge. Seems these items are new in that category so they were thrilled to bits. In their 60's they loved the size of the ship and the fact that, although apparently fully booked, they never had to line up for anything. They commented that there were only 2 children on board and that they were well behaved and supervised by the parents and a grandparent. Rumor was that the boys, accompanied by their parents, were allowed to play bingo one day and won a 7 day Caribbean cruise.
