Ocean Players Club Question

You can still use it. If you bet $25, just put down $20 and the $5 voucher. The bet will pay off as if you bet $25. Treat it like an additional $5 chip (that gets removed after play if you win or lose).

Makes sense to me:D Or even if you just use it for one hand........I would never turn down a free bet:p

Will be down in your neck of the woods this weekend visiting the Grand-Verzelyes (sp?) still open? One of my favorite restaurants in Gulpfort.

Carnival seems to have backed down on some of the casino goodies. It still play as much, if not more, but haven't had cabin decorations in awhile. Guess they are cutting costs where they can. I was looking for something the other day and came across a bag in my office that had all sorts of things from the OPC. Keychain, t-shirt, water bottle and commerative $10 coin that was inside a keychain. It was from the Inspiration when she was in NOLA.

Bonniemari: Vrazel's is back open and the food and service is as good as it ever was. Don't spend too much money next door at The Island View Casino. The Grand in Gulfport is no more.

If you are playing the minimum bet ($5/hand), do not expect any comps or much recognition. $25/hand is really the minimum level to start getting comps. Over and above this you will get other offers including massive discounts to your cruise fare.

nah its not true that u get nothing unless you big high stakes, i play only the 2c slot machines so they sure dont get a lot from us, i play a lot, meaning time, but never the 5c 25c $1 never. I emailed them to let them know we're coming again, xmas and new years.. and this is the reply i received..

Hi

We are so glad to hear that your are sailing again! We will certainly place you both on the guest list for each sailing. We have ceased all pre-cruise cash comps as of December 2008. Based on your past play we can now extend pre-cruise on board comps. You can expect a Premium Bon Voyage package along with a bottle of wine on the dining night of your choice.

I will ask that if possible you check in with me again before the second sailing to see what on board comps will be extended to you on the next cruise. If you have any further questions and/or concerns, please let me know. Thanks!

it does happen, last year we did b2b on liberty and we got $250 cash our first cruise ( actually to the cage in casino and received pure cash to put in our pocket and walk away with ) We also received 2 tshirts, 2 hats, pens, bottle openers, tote bag, basket of fruit with wine, and box of chocolates that are available from the gift section. Then further to that, we had emailed second time saying we had another couple joining us and pls add them to the guest list, and lo adn behold we rec'd another email saying we get $50 under the ' refer a buddy program; which i didnt know existed. We also got letters in our room both weeks saying come for free drinks.

they dont kid when they say you get things.. however this year im very interested in knowing in addition to the bottle of wine, what is a ' premiun bon voyage package'

i simply emailed carnivalplayersclub thru the website. told them when we're sailing , gave booking number and stateroom #. If you have people joining you that have never signed up for ocean players club, mention it, and they will give you a referal bonus like above.

For playing penny slots? Hard to believe, Sorry!

why on earth would someone disbelieve what i said? it would serve no purpose for me lie about it, would it get me extra comps or something? lol didnt think so

Try not to take it personal, but the way most casinos work. If you're a high roller you get rewarded for it, not playing penny slots. However good for you and just curious could you give me a ball park figure on how much you spend in the casino?

on the second night of a back to back i won 1000$ yes on the 2c slots. I played quite a bit over the two weeks and in fact pretty much put the 1000 back but, i saw it as free gambling, i would had spent my own money if not for winning that.. so i guess we could say 500ish each week, or 1000 over two weeks, but i like to think of it as free gambling..

I guess racking up those points on your S$S card doesn't hurt! :D Good for you and thanks for the info! :)

ImANewfie,

I also booked under the bring a buddy promotion and have my email saying that I'll receive $250 casino credit. They are still honoring these, aren't they?

And Yes, I got free drinks in the casino and lots of other perks for playing the 2 cent machines, also. Just because you're playing penny slots doesn't mean you're spending on a penny. Most times to win big you have to play $2 and up to win a big pot. Don't dismiss the penny machines!

Can you provide details on the "refer a buddy" program that you wrote about?

I have some family cruising with me and I don't think any of them are current Ocean Players Club members. If I "refer" them can I get some credit?

Thanks

So on my last 3 Carnival Cruises I signed up for the OPC and each time never received a member number or any other acknowledgment of signing up.. (Not sure how they work it...)

I emailed them.. to find out and received a generic email response stating- Welcome back.. we have put you on our CPC List..

Anyone have any idea what this means??

Thank you!

I just received the same email. I had emailed them with a few questions and they never answered any, just responded with that same email.

Do you have to have your sail and sign card in the machine to get any recognition? I had signed up with the OPC online before my last cruise in Feb and won on the first night. They had to take my info for the winnings, so can they keep track of it that way? I never got a membership number.

Yeah...$250...only because we booked when they were offering the book a buddy promotion. We booked a number of rooms and linked them together so that's how we got the $250. Trust me...it wasn't for our play in the casino!

Because of the change, I was hoping that they will still honor this email, but you've put my mind to ease and I'm pretty certain that they will still honor those who booked under this promotion. Thanks!
