Approx Cab Fare from Ft. Lauderdale

Call RC and check on their transfers to/from the pier. RC pier transfers to/from are nice. You get on a bus and it's cheaper then paying a cab two ways. RC may still offer for a fee to pick your bags up after the cruise & check them in at the airport, so all you need to do is put them outside your cabin the last night, get on a bus and check in for your flight. They may also offer taking your bags when your arriving for the cruise and you can just get them at your stateroom.

Half of my transfres have been RCI & the rest on our own. On RCl's transfers the down side is you must wait until the bus is full before they depart. You must make sure that your luggage goes on YOUR bus. Have had luggage left behind. When you get off of the bus you must collect it so the luggage guys get their tip. It is quicker & easier to cab it to the pier pricing is probably about the same.

I would most certainly disagree. The RCCL bus transfers are nothing but a cattle herd with a great deal of hurry up and wait! While it may be more inexpensive than a cab for a single person, it is certainly more expensive for two or more. The cab is less than a ten minute ride from the airport to the pier in Fort Lauderdale. There are always plenty of cabs available both at the airport and at the pier. The fare, as others have said, is about $15-$16 including a tip for the driver.
