Accepted Currency - Sochi, Sevastopol

If anyone has recently visited these ports, can you please tell me if they are accepting US $ in restaurants or shops? We have not been to Sochi, Russia, before, but have been to Ukraine and at that time they did not accept anything except the local currency (hryvnia).
