timespliters Posted April 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2009 ITV Hell’s Kitchen chef Marco Pierre White is to host private cooking and tasting sessions on board a cruise ship. The cookery sessions will be groups of up to eight adults and children. They will be run in one of the galleys on the P&O Cruises’ ship Ventura, where the self-proclaimed godfather of modern British cooking oversees an on board restaurant, the White Room. The interactive sessions will involve participants joining the celebrity chef as he creates a three-course meal. They will then and taste the finished dishes. He will also answer questions about the meal being prepared or any related cooking questions. The ‘Heavens Kitchen’ sessions will cost £75 per adult and £35 per child and be available on three cruises from Southampton departing on May 8, July 3 and September 25 Marco Pierre White said: “Passengers will have the chance to get involved with the thought process behind the construction of the dishes I produce as well as getting to taste the finished article.” travelmole

BrianI Posted April 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2009 If I was paying £75, I would expect someone to do the cooking for me! Brian
briden Posted April 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Join the club. The details don't explain if you the paying public are cooking or just watching him cook, and then having a taste. I would imagine it could be interesting as having met him on the Aurora Christmas Market cruise last year he was interesting to talk to, but £75 per person....... expensive..! stopgo Posted May 13, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2009 I wonder if Marco made it for the Ventura 8/5 Cruise, it would be nice to hear from any passengers who took part in the course when they get back. It must be inspirational to learn from the Godfather of modern British cusine.
