boccismom Posted June 30, 2010 #101 Share Posted June 30, 2010 We've done 1 Carnival cruise..NEVER AGAIN. There were 750 kids under the age of 15 and most of them had the run of the ship with no supervision at all. They were in the bars, the casino, they were changing cabins (slamming doors all night long), and generally being obnoxious. There was no one you could complain to; the crew didn't care. If you made it from the buffet line to you table without spilling something, it was a miracle..they were running all over the place. Then there were the adults that felt they could act like the kids.... Like I said, NEVER AGAIN!
clackey Posted July 4, 2010 #102 Share Posted July 4, 2010 We are in our late 50's and have done 7 cruises on Carnival, one @ on Princess and Royal Carribean. To be honest, I was bored out of my gourd on Princess. The Splendour of the Seas was probably the niciest ship, but Carnival always gives us more boom for our buck. For those who believe that Carnival is a Booze Cruise, I just want to say that we don't drink or gamble and still have a great time.;)
cruisegrandma3 Posted July 9, 2010 #103 Share Posted July 9, 2010 I'm 63 and will be going on my 5th Carnival cruise in September. I have always had a wonderful time! I have even gone during spring break and didn't have an issues with too many kids. Have seen them punch all the buttons on the elevators, but I usually try to take the stairs anyways. I drink very little and don't smoke or gamble either, and would live on a Carnival ship if I could!
