cruiseawaits Posted April 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2009 thankyou Crusinisforme--do you remember what time they did muster drill? We had a near disaster at the SJU airport upon arrival(lost luggage) and were at the airport until 5:30 p.m. Arrived at the pier just after 6 p.m. and couldn't board because the muster drill was in progress. Finally, around 6:30 p.m., we were allowed on the ship. That's when my vacation began!!!!! The ship is fabulous, food was great(we were the first sailing for MTD-worked out great). Everything about the cruise was wonderful. You'll love her!
Erie cruiser Posted April 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Can anyone tell me if the ship leaves from the Pan Am dock? If so, how far is it to OSJ. We are arriving late Saturday night and thought we would check in at the boat Sunday morning and then spend the day in town. Any information or suggestion would be great! Just remember that they earliest they let us on board was 12:00...so do not get there to early. There is no inside waiting area. They check you in and let you go right on board. Have a great cruise! ginger2000 Posted April 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2009 We were on the ship by noon....muster drill at 6pm so the early dinner seating was pushed back to 630 the first night (late seating puched back 1/2 hour as well)
Cruisingjer Posted April 18, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2009 The Ship leaves at 8:00pm, you need to be back on before the muster drill.

Vbrogdon Posted April 19, 2009 #11 Share Posted April 19, 2009 I also need AOS infor as I'm heading out on her on May 10th. I think I heard she will be in dry dock from April 26- May 6th. My question is this: On my previous Carnival and Princess cruises, there has been a counter near the pool area to get burgers/hot dogs/fries and pizza. There are no tables to sit at to eat but most just sit on the loungers around the pool area or take back to their cabin. I have net read anything like this on RCC AOS. Is there such a place on AOS? I know there is the Cafe Promenade for sanwiches and such, but had hoped for a burger & fries as a quick lunch or snack. Thanks for the info....my first cruise on RCC! ginger2000 Posted April 20, 2009 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2009 What time is late seating on the first night on AOS? What time is dinner available in the Windjammer? 1st night dinner for the second seating is at 9pm (all other nights 830) and dinner at the Windjammer is from 645 - 930pm (usually 630 - 9pm)

Have to go into Windjammer to get anything to eat. We did get Johnny Rockets to go one day and ate that in our deck chairs by the pool. Others brought breakfast and salads from the WJ out as well. Very common!
