JulieS1022 Posted April 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Hi, Can you please let me know how this might work? We have been told that there are 2 'shelf' type beds in the room, but that they're unsuitable for children... Our kids are 3 and 2 and our first cruise is in May. Is this true? Should we consider air-mattresses for them? Thanks, Julie
wrp96 Posted April 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2009 I would pull one of the mattresses off one of the pullman and let them both sleep on that. You will have limited floor space though so be aware that this will make space very tight.
cb at sea Posted April 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2009 The pullmans do have an "age" limit...there's little "floor space" in an interior cabin--which ship are you on?

crusinmama06 Posted April 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2009 Wrona - would there be any floor space in an inside on Indy for 2? I am trying to imagine the floor space in one of those cabins. I don't think 2 mattresses would fit on the floor. Julie - the other option is for you and your hubby to take the "top bunks" and the kids take the lowers. Or have 1 child sleep with you and try to fit one mattress on the floor. It's not a great situation either way. It will be tight. :( EDITED TO SAY - I found a picture of an inside cabin on Freedom (looks the exact same as the ones on Independence) You may have a little floor space to put both mattress on the floor. You would have the move the tables. Here is what the cabin looks like the pullmans would come out of the ceiling. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2536294220036758896oCCRNx

aflynn3 Posted April 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 24, 2009 Keep in mind that you can always ask your room stewart to remove the table in the room. This will allow you a bit more space. We did that on IOS and it gave us more floor space!

JulieS1022 Posted April 24, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted April 24, 2009 Thanks for the replies. I think we will get the table removed and try to put both mattresses on the floor. I doubt that my two would fit on one!
