gullgeorge Posted December 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2004 Day 8 – Disembarkation, Port Canaveral Disembarkation The ship docked at approximately 7:00am, the Disney Magic and the Carnival Glory were already docked, and they stated clearing non-US citizens at about 8:00am. The first call for disembarkation was at 9:20am. They first called all the letters and then started with various number sequences. They do not necessary call numbers in sequence. We were number 26, independent traveler, and were called at 10:30am. One of the nice features of HAL is that you can wait anywhere, including you cabin, to be called. You clear immigration and customs at the same time after collecting your luggage. We were in our car at 10:40am, the same time we parked 7 days earlier. We were at the close- in lot and it was not open for new vehicles when we arrived. Food Full room service, Lido and dinning room menus are available for 6 – 8 allowing plenty of time for that last meal. Other Stuff Over the next couple of days I will put together a comparison of the last four cruises, Disney, RCCL, Princess and Celebrity with HAL. The overall cruise was good and very relaxing. One of the primary reasons we chose this cruise was the minimum number of ports along with the price.
