Transferring from Vancouver to Seattle - is this possible?

Would this transfer be possible?

Disembark from Norwegian Sun on Sunday 9th August (due to arrive 8am)

Travel to Seattle

Embark on Norwegian Pearl on Sunday 9th August (due to sail 4pm)

If it is possible, what would be the best way to travel from Vancouver to Seattle?

Perhaps Karen, the SeattleCruiser could better answer this question but judging from the summer Quick Shuttle schedule it looks like you might be able to...but it would require you to take a cab from their downtown Seattle stop to the pier...and it is tight. You may want to contact NCL and see if this violates the Passenger Vessels Service Act and if they offer a transfer.

Personally, I wouldn't take a chance. You have to be aboard before 2 pm. It takes long enough (3-4 hour drive, plus up to 3+ hours at the border) that you might not make it in time (unless you fly and that is very expensive from YVR to SEA). Then there is this:

I don't believe it would be a PVSA violation (since you are arriving in YVR, then coming to SEA and leaving on another ship), but it would be a good idea to verify with NCL.

If you don't make it, getting to the first port of call would be at your own expense.

We will be on the Sapphire Princess May 9 and then we will take a shuttle from Vancouver and spend the night in Seattle and then get on the Star Princess Alaska bound the next day. We get picked up at the Canada Place Cruise Terminal. We have done this before and it works for us. We used Quick Shuttle 1 -800 - 665 - 2122. Take the direct shuttle as there are two . It can be done , they will drop you at a hotel and then you take a cab to the pier.:)

Kayak is showing an 11:40a flight from YVR-SEA for $118 it arrives at 12:34. I don't know if you can use US direct for that flight, you'll need to check the airline and time.

Given the present cruise pricing your transfers are likely to cost almost as much as the cruise.
