4 to a room?

lol!! this is my last post on this!!

if you re-read my last response you will see that I said I AM still checking for price changes (daily if you must know!). But for us, it is not worth it to spend the extra $1100. I can appreciate everything you are saying, but you dont know me or my family and how we live. we have taken several camping trips (which are tight quarters!!!) and we have been BEYOND fine. we dont cruise to sit in our cabin all day. its just a place to sleep. and it is certainly NOT an inconvenience to ANYONE in our family to stay out of the room if someone is sick or needs a nap. sorry...but thats how our family works!

also, we dont have to worry about airfare or excursions or alcohol or specialty restaurants or spa or casino. we have chosen to keep this trip simple and affordable for our budget. and I did not mean that making an informed choice as being a lemon, lol. I meant that we dont sweat the small things that come up during the trip!

thank you for your comments:)

oh, and cruzsnooze...despite your snarky bolded comment...nomatter how old the thread might be, there was valuable information in it for me. I didnt realize threads had a limited shelf life!

This is totally subjective. We've gone in 4 cruises in last 10 years. We've done 4 in balcony, 4 in an inside and also 5 in an inside! While it was crowded, never did I wish I spent the extra money for another room. ( Now if it was $200 for extra room like I think I read someone getting a few weeks ago, I would spring for that). Going again in a few weeks with 4 in a balcony. Kids going with us are 18 and 21, so no longer little. I did go with balcony to give us a little more room than the inside.

We did 5 to a room once. Totally fine! This year we're getting two room because there are 7 of us and we have to...four will be in one and three in the other and I'm not worried at all. I actually think I like the space to be smaller...we don't ever just hang out in our room...we find things to do around the ship and at night we're all really tired and sleep well (even those that are light sleepers.) We leave the room at breakfast, come back just before dinner to get dressed for dinner and are out again until bedtime. I can't imagine sitting in a hotel room for my holiday hanging out on the balcony so why would I do that on a ship? Have a great time on your holiday...darn the Canadian $ (just when I went to book our trip the $ started falling and falling and falling...whoops!)

In my early days of cruising, I did it several times. With two of us showering in the locker room, it helped save time getting ready. The last time I was in a room with 4 people was in 2005 on Disney Wonder and again on NCL Sun. Both ships had 3 lower beds and one upper.
