SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #26 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks for the review and great pictures!! Is it really as close as it looks going under the bridge? That is amazing! SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #28 Share Posted April 26, 2009 It wasn't long before we found that the cereal and danish had worn off...so we made a quick trip through the Lido line for more breakfast...is it any wonder that we all seem to gain a "few" pounds when cruising ?!? French toast and bacon....Bet you can't tell that we enjoyed this by our empty plates ! With our bellies full again....we headed back out for more sun ! Good thing I brought lots and lots of sunscreen ! Early afternoon, they had an ice carving demonstration that I just had to see. It never ceases to amaze me the artistic abilities people have...me....I can't draw a straight line ! I mean....to go from this: To this gorgeous Eagle....in just a matter of minutes ! Wonderful !! Of course, he had to work fast before it melted away....
The C-Macs Posted April 26, 2009 #29 Share Posted April 26, 2009 I was trying to figure out a way to make the time SLOW down....it already seemed to be flying by.....never did come up with the secret to that....if anyone else has....I hope they share it with me for my next cruise ! I have an idea that will not only make time slow down, but will save you money! I imagine that if you work on your next cruise (as a room steward, for instance, but manning an oar would probably be better) time will slow way down. Plus, your cruise will be free! And you'll get tips!
SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #30 Share Posted April 26, 2009 So...the afternoon flew by....with me still trying to figure out how to slow it down. Since tonight was Cruise Elegant night, I figured I'd go stand in line to get our clothes ironed.....guess I picked a good time to do it....there was only one person ahead of me. That done...I decided to try my luck in the casino again...instead, I just made another donation  We were ready by 5pm to head out and find the photogs....I think we hit the majority of them. At 25 & 23, I find it hard to get my guys to dress up and especially stand still long enough for pics....so I was taking advantage of the moment ! Little did I know that I would have such a hard time choosing.....I ended up buying about 8 pics of us. Off to the dining room (Imagination) to meet our table mates. What a wonderful family....Nancy (from Jacksonville) and her 2 daughters (one from Iowa and I can't remember where her other daughter was from). We ordered the White Stuffed Mushrooms as a starter....Excellent ! I believe we could've eaten 5 more they were so good ! Then we had the Lobster and the Prime Rib....I forgot to take pictures of this....of course, desert consisted of the infamous Chocolate Melting Cake. My guys were in heaven ! Back to the cabin to change (remember I said they didn't like to dress up? ) and off to see the show Hey Mambo. Very entertaining ! Back to the casino for another donation and then on to the midnight Adult Comedy Show. I forget his name....at my age...I need to remember to write things down :) but he was funny ! Oh, here it is in the capers....Dean Gaines. After that, back to the cabin to visit that wonderful bedding ! This guy was waiting for us: Tomorrow....Nassau ! SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #40 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Just one more of the lighthouse.... Our plans today were to visit Atlantis in the morning and then we were going Snorkeling for the afternoon. I had called SeaHorse Sailing directly only to find out that by booking the excursion thru Carnival saved me $5 per person. So....once docked, we got off the ship and headed straight over to grab a cab over to Atlantis. We waved goodbye to our floating home.... and we were off.... SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #41 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Atlantis is an absolutely beautiful resort....Maybe someday we'll take a trip and stay there. Since we didn't have tons of time here, we walked around trying to see everything we could without spending the extra money to get in. Here are just a few of the neat things we saw inside. I loved the way the sunshine brought these to life... This one looked to be made of shells or something....gorgeous !
SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #42 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Neat seahorses holding the lights above one of the bars.. And, could this be King Neptune himself ?!? Across the lobby we saw an "aquarium" Look close and you can see a guy in scuba gear cleaning the tank SHARK !! That scuba guy didn't hear me....hmmmm...wonder why? I don't think I could ever do that. Especially after the way this big fish was eyeing me like I'd make a good Thanksgiving dinner or something.... SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #44 Share Posted April 26, 2009 This Manta Ray was HUGE ! I swear he'd take up my whole living room !! Too soon we headed back over to Nassau....we all wanted to go to Senor Frog's before we went snorkeling. Hamburgers were at a premium price.....$13 each....so we opted for a nacho plate that fed four for $20. Delicious ! This with 3 drinks and our Total bill: $40 We did some shopping on the way back to the ship to drop things off...and then we were off for our snorkeling adventure. sassygal Posted April 26, 2009 #45 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Loved your pics! We just got off of that cruise too....I was there with 5 of my friends and we had a blast! Keep the photos coming...they are great! I wish we were still on the cruise!
SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #46 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Carnival used SeaHorse Sailing....Everyone gathered right off the ship and then walked over to....can you believe it?...right by Senor Frogs !! If we had known that....we could have saved alot of walking !! Patrick on here was an absolute hoot !! He called eveyone Helen and Frank.....too funny ! I thought I had gotten a picture of him but can't seem to find it....Anyway...I'd recommend SeaHorse Sailing to anyone ! On our way to the reef. I can't really say how long the ride out was...you tend to lose track of time when having fun. In the water We got some great underwater shots.... SunnyDayz4me Posted April 26, 2009 Author #47 Share Posted April 26, 2009 All too soon it was time to come in out of the water. We headed back to Nassau and they dropped us off by Senor Frogs again....so we ducked inside for one last drink. Did a little more shopping on the way back to the ship...Nothing big....just a couple of T-Shirts. Back on the ship we opted to just eat on Lido deck so we went to the Coconut Bar & Grill. I think it was beef that night. Afterwards, we went to the Variety Show with Tia Thompson and Allyn Ball, the comedian. She was good...however, I wasn't crazy about him with his "general audience" routine....he struck me like he would be a much better "all adult" comedian ! We were just too wore out to stay awake to find out. Back to the room, we found our nightly pet. Time to curl up and sleep....after all, tomorrow was Half Moon Cay !!
