cruising diva Posted April 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2009 My friend is taking a round trip cruise from Vancouver. His daughter lives in Seattle and after the cruise he wants to take a ferry there but can't find any info on how/where etc.Has anyone done this from Canada Place? It seems he has to go from CP to Pier 66 where ever that is. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
cruiseryyc Posted April 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2009 There are no ferry's from Vancouver to Seattle; neither city is on an Island, you can drive between them.

scottbee Posted April 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2009 Thank you for the info.Do you know long the drive would be between Vancouver and Seattle? Drive; 2.5 - 5 hours, depending on border crossing times http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Vancouver,+BC,+Canada&daddr=Seattle,+WA&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.554089,93.164063&ie=UTF8&z=8 Amtrak also run buses and trains on the route

BCHappyGal Posted April 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2009 The best way to Seattle following a cruise is via a bus company called Quick Shuttle that will take your friend direct form the pier to Seattle - cost approx $50. CAD pp - travel time approx 3 hours. The bus makes only 2 stops in Seattle one in downtown and one at the airport.
Putterdude Posted April 30, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Depending upon your schedule, I am not sure that Quick Shuttle is better than the Amtrak train but here is a link to the shuttle for your convenience. http://www.quickcoach.com/
