carib indians in Dominica?

Read about the carib indian village in Dominica on the net. I heard they make beautiful baskets and am thinking of visiting the village while we are there. Can anyone who has been there tell me more about it. How far from the port? Cab costs per person, etc.

Markk: just got back last week from Dominica. Hired a fantastic guide named Beno. He took us to the Carib territory and we had an amazing time. Bought some beautiful woven baskets and purses, fans, etc. You can read my review on the "robbed at gunpoint in Dominica" thread (although, I considering posting a separate thread for my review). Anyway, I highly recommend Beno, who took us to meet a long-time Carib friend of his named Moses who explained how the baskets are made, the history of the Caribs, etc. You can contact Beno at benox265@hotmail.com
