Inexpensive way to get from airport hotel to Pier 66

Recommended Posts

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) with probably 4 bags of luggage leaving on a NCL cruise out of Seattle in a month . We are staying at the Embassy Suites at the airport the Saturday night before the cruise.

I have read so much about the transportation and now I am still unsure of the cheapest way to get to the pier the next day.

Are my only options a taxi or a limo service? What is the least expensive way to get there? From what I have looked at the Grayline Airporter is out, the Seattle Express is out and the Shuttle Express is out as none of these go to this hotel.

I googled "Seattle Shuttles" and came up with a whole list of options.

This is interesting http://www.portseattle.org/seatac/ground/shuttlebus.shtml

What is your budget for transportion to Pier 66?

We are lucky, I've got my brother driving us to the Pier.

Your brother wouldn't be available on 6/7 would he? lol

Would paying $50 be unreasonable?

With the airporter shuttle option, should we take the free shuttle from the Embassy Suites back to Sea-Tac and then get transportation from there?

Have you tried calling Embassy Suites to ask if they have a shuttle going to the pier? They say on their website they have local transportation. If they don't provide that service maybe they will have some suggestions for you. Embassy Suites isn't right by the airport. They are near Southcenter Mall, northeast of the airport.

I called the Embassy Suites in your behalf today. The nice girl at the front desk gave me the full run down. When you arrive at Sea-Tac call them and they will come pick you up on level 3 at the Airport. To get to Pier 91 she suggested you take a Town car, she said most do that. Another option is to make arrangements to have the Embassy Suites take you back to the Airport and catch the Grayline bus to the pier. She did not know if Shuttle Express would pick you up at Embassy Suites.

That was so nice of you Eagle! We will be taking the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I think that the hotel even has a shuttle to the nearby mall so we can go to dinner there.

I also ended up e-mailing Already There Towncar and I am booking a car to pick us up at Embassy Suites in the morning. I was on the fence if we would need a SUV but if we can fit all our bags into an Impala to the airport here at DFW then we should be ok with a Towncar. It will be $50..

Thanks again!
