Next cruise certificate OBC taken away for upgrading?

I sent in a next cruise certificate that I had bought on board the Freedom. The $100 OBC was showing up on my cruise documents, no problem. Today I called my TA and upgraded to a balcony cabin, and now the OBC has disappeared.

 

I can't imagine why they would take away my OBC just for upgrading? I mean, I can see losing it if I had booked during a promotion and then changed rooms, but this was a certificate I paid money for.

 

Is this right? I see no mention of this on the certificates rules. Thanks

No that's not right unless they somehow used that to pay for your upgrade? I would call your TA first thing in the morning and get it straightened out. Good luck.

Thanks Poobears, I feel like someone just goofed up when they changed my reservation today and I hope to get it worked out. Won't the TA love hearing from me in the a.m., what with the waiting time and all...
