MDnOH Posted December 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2004 Where is the best food in Cozumel? Seafood, traditional Mexican it doesn't matter, what's everyone's opinion?
airlink diva Posted December 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2004 Hi!! I was in Cozumel in November. I went to Panchos Backyard for lunch. The food, esp the salsa (the best that I ever had) was excellent :) :) !! Beware of the margritas, very powerful :D ! I enjoyed lunch so much, I returned that eveing for dinner. I had even a better time because our ship (the Oosterdam) was the only one in port after 6 p.m. It was a very nice setting.
CozSally Posted December 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2004 Wow! Too many options on that one... Here are some of my favorites: Mexican: Sonora Grill Yucatecan: Sabores (very local, lovely place, open noon-4 weekdays only) Ambience: Pancho's Backyard Gourmet (soon to re-open): La Cocay Beach Restaurant: Paradise Beach Lobster: La Lobsteria Upscale with music: Acuario (music begins at 7:30ish, soft Latin jazz) a little pricey Additionally: Especias, Casa Denis, La Choza There are tons more, but that's a start... solita Posted December 9, 2004 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2004 for the adventurous ones out there: Los tres patitos - breakfast empanadas (like fried dumplings) filled with cheese, potato, beans or meat for about 30 cents a piece. Located on 30th at 13th. Chilangos - great huaraches (like huge odd shaped soft tacos) filled with all sorts of great stuff like tinga, potato, pork, chicken served with avocado, beans and cheese on it for about $1.15 a piece. Located on 30th between 3rd and 5th. Opens at 7p.m.
CozSally Posted December 10, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2004 Yumm.. had one last night, chicken and mushrooms with the standard beans, lettuce, cheese, no avocado last night. Since I ordered two toppings it was $1.63. The one topping is now up to $1.45. It's a huge dinner. Takes about a minute to prepare. That's my idea of fast food!
