I was just waondering how many people actually book specific cabins and how many book gty's? We have 26 cruises between 3 cruise line CCL, DCL, RCI and now just book gty when ever possible. But how many book specific cabins?

For me, it depends on the price. If the price is great to pick my own cabin, i will do that. If the category and specific cabin choices aren't that great for the price, I will book a gty and hope for a better category/cabin.

There have been a lot of times with Carnival that arent condusive to booking guarantees, but Id sure book one if it was available. Now they have early saver, where you have to pick a cabin. I prefer most of the 1A cabins over inside cabins, so I pick one, rather than leave them to chance, on conquest class anyway.

Iv only had one guarantee on Carnival so far, but not because Id particularly rather most time. I have 3 more carnival cruises this year and all I picked a cabin (one Carnival picked it uck).

I pick Our own cabin. If I am spending that much money to go on a cruise, then I want to make sure we are in a comfortable place. I am not a front of the ship person. I love the AFT. I would take a FREE Riveria cabin 1 if that was offered, but since that is not likely, I will pick our cabins.:)
