piejamin Posted May 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2009 Forgive me if this is an old subject. We've been on Carnival cruises and have now converted to our first RCCL coming up next week. Is one of the formal nights considered Captain's Night? Carnival had free appetizers and cocktails before this... Does Royal do this? And, is there or is there not midnight buffets now? Thanks all! Coralc Posted May 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2009 Not anymore. Drinks are available for purchase at the captain's reception and the midnight buffet has been replaced with a pool party/buffet.
swcruise Posted May 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2009 On our BOS sailing last week there were free drnks - wine, champagne and fruit punch as well as cocktails at the Captain's party
Bobal Posted May 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2009 On our Explorer cruise on 5 April there were free drinks - champagne and soft drinks - at the Captain's party on the first formal night. I'm not sure whether other free drinks were on offer as we drank champagne anyway. They also had 2 late night deck parties with buffets - not as grand as the old midnight buffets, but then presumably not as much food to throw away at the end ;)
