Labadee excursion "Castaway at Malfini Beach"

The "regular" beach is beautiful at Labadee, and since you've paid to use the beach in your fare, why spend more to go to a different beach????

Just use this as a beach day and relax, read, drink, walk, swim, etc.....there's really no need to spend extra money at this place!

The only problem is that hideaway beach (our favorite) has been taken for the construction of the dock and barefoot beach (the other nice beach) is supposedly going to be reserved for suite guests only. I loved Labadee, but a lot of us not in suites will be squeezing into a few beaches.

Just back, construction is at a minimal. Not sure of the names but we were on the beach with the cabanas they just built a little less crowded then I one next to the bell tower. In addition, the Dragon tail ride is open, rollercoaster / toboggan cool ride had a great time. I agree no need to spend the extra money . BBQ was on the island and it seemed like it was all afternoon a few hours anyway.

Why don't you give this a rest already...post after post of the same response:rolleyes:...if someone feels that spending some $ to enjoy themselves a bit more is what they want to do, there is NOTHING wrong with it. Just because you don't feel it's worth it doesn't mean the next person feels the same. Malfini is a gorgeous beach and worth every bit of the $ is you are looking for a quiet relaxing escape from the crowds.

Given the crowds swarming off the ship that day, the little boat taking the 20 (?) of us to a secluded cove was a very WELCOME sight and the afternoon spent there more than relaxing and definitely worth the extra money for us. As I said...we were actually there in the afternoon...so we were able to enjoy the BBQ and then catch the boat to Malfani Beach so bonus points all the way around. :)

As for what it was like...QUIET & RELAXING pretty well sum it up...as memory serves there was some snorkel equipment (limited), some floating mats, and also rum punch available at no extra charge. Gotta say I felt a bit like MaryAnn on Gilligan's Island as secluded as we were, but boy was it ever a relaxing afternoon...float, drink, sun, repeat.
