PK4SC Posted May 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2009 We are going with Talkeetna Aero Service using the Tour Saver Coupon. I have wondered if Talkeetna Air Taxi is better or what. They also have a tour saver coupon but do a glacier landing. They are rated the highest by Trip Adviser. I'm wondering if I should change my reservation. Do you have any info on this? Would appreciate any advice on this BQ, Yukon, others. thanks!
SEPyle Posted May 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2009 We've gone with Talkeetna Aero twice and they are top-notch in my opinion Enjoy the incredible experience!
Budget Queen Posted May 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2009 If you want a ski plane and landing, Talkeetna Air Taxi does an excellent job. If you want a summit flight, no matter who you book with, it is run by Talkeetna Aero, another excellent company. You need to decide WHAT tour you want, be well aware of the differences. For me, flying in a ski plane was good, but I have gone on summit flights every opportunity, which is my preference. Take advantage of the coupon, certainly, but know what flightseeing you want. dusty1117 Posted May 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2009 We are scheduled for 7PM - 8:30 PM Flightseeing in Talkeetna. We were told we should get back by 8:30 and make the 9PM bus to Princess Mt. Mckinley Lodge. If by chance, we don't make it, how would we get to Princess lodge?

If this is the last shuttle, sorry, you are out of luck. It is 50 miles away. No cabs, no rental cars, no shuttles. Hitch hiking is about it.
