Lvteks Posted May 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2009 Has anyone had good luck or any kind of experience doing this? How far is the PHA station from wherever the NCL Majesty docks or the cost of a cab to get there? Thanks, Blessings, Gail
megr1125 Posted May 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2009 The station is in center city....the pier is at the navy yard... Flat fee from the airport to center city is 28 bucks.........the pier is, I THINK a little closer, but i would guesstimate around 25-30 bucks or so... hopefully a philly expert will stop in! Thanks, Blessings, Gail It's PH*L*, not PH*A*, unless you want to go to the place in Viet Nam that uses the PHA airport code ;). Phila. is an ok abbrev., but not PHA! Amtrak serves 30th St. Station in Phila. The train's a fine way to get there as long as you're comfortable handling your own luggage on & off the train and station platforms. The station's at 30th & Market, about 15 blocks west of city hall. The cruise terminal is at 5100 S. Broad in the Navy Yard, about 50 block south of City Hall - fortunately, it's a quick cab ride (15-20min) via the Schuylkill Expressway - fare should be around $20 incl. tip. Public transit is a bit inconvenient - 2 subways and a bus.
