Pre-registration in San Juan

Recommended Posts

We were in San Juan this February to board the serenade, and did not hear of any such service.

What do you mean by "pre register" for the AOS? I haven't a clue what you are referring to.

Thanks!

For the Carnival Pride last Thanksgiving we were able to "pre-register" at the Queen Mary in the morning before we boarded the ship. This way when the cruise terminal opened we didn't have to wait in line to register and could go straight to board the ship. We were also able to do this in Miami in the hotel lobby where we were staying. It was just very convenient and saved time waiting in lines.

I have heard this service is available for some cruises out of Miami. Someone on these boards said they did this at their hotel lobby before boarding the ship. So, yes it does exist. I don't remember the details. I am almost certain I have never heard of this sevice being available in San Juan, however.

You usually need to book the day before accomodations through the cruiseline. They include the transfers from the hotel to the ship in the price. Usually the price the cruiseline charges for the hotel is so much higher than what you can find on your own it is not worth the convenience.

Have not heard of RCI doing it but have done it with Carnival. With Carnival in Miami we booked the hotel through priceline (Hyatt) and walked over to the Sheraton for pre-registration.

Have not had to wait for RCI boarding in SJU. AOS and Serenade in March and April went smooth.
