Hop on Hop off tours in Verona

Recommended Posts

Verona is actually a pretty interesting city. Much of the tourist interest is in the central part of town where they have the huge arena (it serves as the world's largest opera venue during the summer) and an adjacent shopping area. Most of the area of interest to tourism is contained within an area that is about 1 mile across and the city is best explored on foot. My suggestion would be that you just take the train to Verona and play it by ear. If you want to use the local HoHo bus than you can just buy a ticket, but I think that as long as you are comfortable walking, you will see much more on your feet.

We were there last year. Never saw a HoHo in Verona. But, it is entirely unnecessary. It is navigable on foot, is less than a mile of walking on generally flat surfaces, and all of the sites are relatively close together. It is a well worthwhile stop.
