stuNYC Posted December 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2004 Are there long lines to wait for a taxi at the FT Lauderdale airport? If there are I will be pushing my wife and dragging our luggage alone the line. Believe it is not much fun. I did it in LV and said never again. I would rather call a car service. I will be arriving around 7:30-8PM
Bequia Posted December 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2004 Unless there are major conventions in town, even so, that time of night you should be fine. ;) Car services are on site if needed.
Nanatravel Posted December 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2004 I have never had a problem getting a taxi at FLL. Many hotels also offer airport shuttle if you are doing a pre-cruise night stay: Wyndham, Amerisuites, Embassy, Comfort Suites, etc. Returning to the airport is a little more of a challenge fromt he cruise port; lots of people and much traffic. There are many vans and they pull U-haul luggage trailers. Charge was $8pp last time and that worked out well. You can also just purchase the transfer from the cruiseline for the big motor coaches which leave for the airport as soon as one bus is filled up. Also reasonable way to travel.
